Chicken wings are constantly frying at Reddy Wings, but instead of sputtering and hissing of hot oil, it is an air fryer that hums quietly. Reddy Wings, a new franchise, is redefining the way America indulges in fast food, where each bite is without the guilt-inducing grease.

The nation’s appetite for healthier dining options is growing, and Reddy Wings delivers the irresistible flavor of traditional fried wings while slashing calories and fat content by 75% and 20%, respectively.

A culinary transformation

Norlyque Redd, a managing partner who leads Reddy Wings, believes that air-frying technology can propel a local curiosity into a rapidly expanding franchise — just like Reddy Wings.

“Commercial air frying is not yet common, I don’t know why. The technology is available, and it’s healthier and better.” Redd says.

Upon seeing the benefits of air-frying, Redd was fueled by a desire to change America’s relationship with food. Through Reddy Wings, she encourages people to embrace a lifestyle where indulgence and well-being coexist.

As the U.S. food and beverage franchise market continues to rise, projected to reach $83.01 billion in 2024 and grow at a 9.82% CAGR to $132.58 billion by 2029, Reddy Wings finds itself in the middle of a consumer preferences shift. The industry is ripe for a new concept, with a demand for digital ordering, a focus on quality ingredients, and healthier preparation.

Challenging fast food industry norms

“Reddy Wings is challenging the status quo in a market dominated by fast food giants,” observes an industry analyst who prefers to remain anonymous. “Their commitment to air-frying technology sets them apart, but it remains to be seen whether consumers will embrace this healthier alternative on a large scale.”

Whatever the industry says, Redd remains faithful to Reddy Wings’ unique offerings. “Our specialty 24k Gold Reddy Wings, Vegan Sweet Potato Pie, and Cold-Pressed Juices are just the beginning,” she says, hinting at an all-inclusive menu that caters to different dietary preferences.

Scaling up for national expansion and the future of wings

With the recent sale of its first franchise — a significant milestone in the company’s journey — Reddy Wings is set to expand beyond its Maryland roots. “We are currently in Maryland but hoping to expand across the nation, at least three states in the next 12 months,” Redd reveals, her sights on capturing a slice of the $119.68 billion North American cafes and bars market.

However, as Reddy Wings scales up, it must be ready for the challenges inherent in rapid expansion, from maintaining consistent quality and operational efficiency to cultivating a loyal customer base in new markets. “We aim to build trust in the brand to sell more franchises and grow awareness of the health benefits of air-frying versus deep-frying,” Redd acknowledges.

“We’re not just selling wings,” Redd adds. “We’re offering a better way of life — one wing at a time.” With a commitment to the vision and a finger on evolving consumer trends, Reddy Wings’ goal to change the American dining experience is ready to take flight.
