On March 17, the latest episode of “Tracker” titled “St. Louis” premiered on CBS just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
Justin Hartley stars as Colter Shaw in this series, while also serving as an executive producer. Gonzalo Amat directed this episode, which was written by Travis Donnelly and Graham Thiel.
Colter Shaw is a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, utilizing his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries. It is based on the bestselling book “The Never Game” by Jeffery Deaver.
The synopsis of “St. Louis” is: The odds are stacked against Colter as he is tasked by a convicted murderer’s teenage daughter to track down a missing witness who could prove her father’s innocence.
Colter was hired by a 16-year-old girl named Stephanie to help prove that her dad is indeed wrongfully accused for a crime he didn’t commit. This seems to be a risky mystery, and it times, it feels like Colter is playing with fire. Will he be successful?
Fiona Rene is back in the picture as Colter’s lawyer Reenie Green to assist him as needed.
It is filled with multiple twists and turns, and without giving too much away, it will involve Colter getting beaten. The fight scenes once again are well-choreographed.
Robin Weigert and Abby McEnany are back as Teddi and Velma Bruin respectively, Colter’s handlers who keep him gainfully employed with steady work.
As each “Tracker” episode unfolds, it is neat to see Colter’s compassionate and empathetic side as the complex character that he is.
While this episode was missing actors Eric Graise and Wendy Crewson as Bobby Exley and Mary Dove Shaw respectively, hopefully, we will see them again later on in the season.
