Artificial intelligence (AI) and all its implementations and applications are expanding at an unprecedented rate. As AI is integrated into more and more systems and industries around the world, with interfaces as wide-reaching as Google even utilizing AI now, many experts believe that the possibilities of this bleeding-edge technology have only just begun to be explored in earnest.

Two such experts are Matthias Tepel and Killian Dunne, who have co-founded their own AI startup, Telepathic Software Inc. This exciting new company is working to fundamentally change the ways in which people interact with AI, the internet, and technology as a whole.

Tepel and Dunne want to revolutionize technology. Through Telepathic, they aim to positively impact every software user’s experience. This starts with educating users on how to get the most out of the software they use and expands to performing any action on their behalf using natural language.

One of the driving mantras behind the creation of Telepathic was the desire to build a company that could make a change in the world while cultivating a positive working experience for experts in the field. “I want to build a huge company people love to work at. I think a company often impacts the people it hires more than the customers it serves, and so I’d love to create a place where people are inspired to come to work every day and challenge themselves,” Dunne explains.

One of the primary goals of Telepathic is to democratize the use of this revolutionary tech. “I believe great technology should be accessible to anyone. The aim of Telepathic is to allow people to use software they otherwise would not have,” says Dunne, adding that his work has often allowed him to view his family’s interactions with new technology through a unique lens over the course of his career. Ultimately, what he has observed and learned from them time and again is the valuable lesson that “the way to allow them to reap the benefits of technology is not to change their disposition but to make software easier to use.” Telepathic intends to do that by focusing on those who most need help using software.

Similarly, Tepel’s background in tech and his experiences witnessing its impact on the general public have informed his own decision-making, which led him to team up with Dunne and form Telepathic. Tepel consistently strives for excellence, with his most significant achievement prior to Telepathic being scaling Tier Mobility, a micro-mobility company that focuses on sustainable urban transportation and offers shared electric scooters and bikes, from zero to a $2.5 billion valuation in just four years. This journey coincided with Tepel’s own transition from an early employee to a C-level executive overseeing a team of over 100 people and making key decisions on company acquisitions and strategic direction.

After leaving Tier Mobility, Tepel set his sights on scaling his own company. With Telepathic Software, he has been able to focus on innovating how people interact with software. “I believe recent advancements in AI offer significant opportunities for efficiency gains. By leveraging these advancements, we aim to redefine software interaction and continue to make a substantial impact in the technology space.”

Fittingly, just as Tepel was beginning to realize the inadequacies of modern software interactions, so was Dunne. Before Telepathic and teaming up with Tepel, “[Dunne] built a bunch of interesting software, including co-browsing software, that allows you to perform actions on behalf of another user within the browser. I thought it was crazy that it’s always humans who must navigate interfaces and saw the early signs of what it’d look like if the software were to do it for you instead.”

Dunne even tried to found a startup called Yap with his flatmate just after university. “The premise was to create a voice-only platform so that you never have to type again. We believed interfaces had huge room for improvement, and voice was a leap in the right direction.” Now, Dunne has paired that ambition with Tepel’s experience, resulting in Telepathic’s groundbreaking results. “Over the last year, I’ve been exploring what happens if we build software that can navigate software products. The belief is that if we can do this, then this unlocks a whole new, better interface for users.”

Telepathic’s core technology is an AI that can understand how to navigate software products. Essentially, it is a bot that can scrape software, capture how it works, and synthesize it for users. “This hasn’t been done before, and it’s a really complex problem. These days, we’re starting to see software agents who can navigate the open web and public websites, but very few can actually navigate closed-gated web apps. This is where our expertise lies. This is an accumulation of years of experience in software engineering and an understanding of AI. This is only possible because we’re using the latest cutting-edge AI models,” concludes Dunne.

Telepathic offers numerous benefits to early users. Their AI will scrape your SaaS product (cloud-based apps over the internet) and give you a magic widget that can answer any product questions in real time. The entire thing can be fully set up for your own product in less than ten minutes of human effort. It can also detect product changes and is even capable of recapturing your product as updates are released. As users articulate their goals, Telepathic can provide best-in-class insights into user intent on every end.

Matthias Tepel and Killian Dunne’s Telepathic aims to provide a truly intuitive AI experience. While many others in the tech field are busy pushing AI to new frontiers, often at the cost of the average user’s understanding, Telepathic utilizes AI to make this brave new world of technology more accessible and easily decipherable.
