‘Three Women’
He opposite Shailene Woodley, Gabrielle Creevy, and Betty Gilpin in the drama series “Three Women” on STARZ. The series, based on Lisa Tadeo’s bestselling book, follows Gia (Woodley) a writer who is grieving the death of her family and sets out to interview three “ordinary” women to tell their stories of love, life, and loss.
John Patrick portrays Jack, a scene stealer and Gia’s love interest, who would do anything for her. The series premiered on September 13 on Starz, and it will air through October and November of 2024.
“I love how free my character is,” he admitted. “After reading the scripts he was in and seeing his arc, it was really easy for me to settle in my instincts.”
“I went into every scene with two things in mind: one that he would do anything for Gia, since he is madly in love with her, and the other one is that he doesn’t think in terms of strategy,” he explained.
“This is the most freeing I’ve felt as an actor in a really long time,” he acknowledged.
“This screenplay taught me that I love life and love,” he said. “That was a big thing for me. It was a very cathartic experience living vicariously through such a pure love, and that is something to achieve.”
