Actor Kassius Marcil-Green chatted about starring in the western “The Night They Came Home,” which was released via Lionsgate.

Margaret Mead once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” This quote applies to Kassius Marcil-Green.

He is the son of Brian Austin Green (“Beverly Hills, 90210”) and Vanessa Marcil (“General Hospital” fame).

‘The Night They Came Home’

He stars as Tommy Palmer in the movie alongside his father, veteran actor Brian Austin Green, as well as Robert Carradine, Charlie Townsend, Danny Trejo, Jesse Kove, and Weston Cage. “This movie was an amazing experience,” he exclaimed. “This was my first big film project, and not only was I able to do it with my friends, but with so many other talented actors.”

“Everyone in the cast was really supportive and amazing to have around. I learned so much from everybody on set,” he said. “I made a lot of wonderful friends and it was an incredible atmosphere on set. The whole cast was terrific to be around with.”

This thriller was inspired by true events, and it chronicles the ruthless exploits of the Rufus Buck Gang, Native American outlaws who terrorized the Indian Territory of Middle America at the tail end of the 19th century.

The combined force of local lawmen and Indian police aim to take down a cold-heated band of fugitives with vengeance on their minds.

“It was so crazy to get thrown into a western with such an amazing cast of people,” he acknowledged. “For my first large production, I was thrilled with the screen time that I got.”

“The day that I went to go and see the screening for ‘The Night They Came Home’ felt like a big defining moment to me because that was the first time that it felt very real,” he said.

“It was a very reinforcing feeling to see myself on-screen, and go ‘okay, I’m it and my career has begun.’ Also, that was the moment that I could call myself an actor. It was great to get to work with actors that I had seen before and having moments of camaraderie with people that I have so much respect for was really cool,” he elaborated.

The digital age

On being a part of the digital age, he said, “I think it can be confusing at times but also really exciting. There are a lot of opportunities that I don’t think would have existed before now.”

He continued, “There is more of a window for projects that wouldn’t have gotten the attention that they are able to get now, especially when you are looking at smaller productions at platforms such as YouTube and other streaming services.”

“There are tons of amazing content to watch these days, so there is a democratization of content lately,” he added.

Virtual fan event with Vanessa Marcil

On March 24, he is looking forward to being a part of a virtual fan event with his mother, Emmy winner Vanessa Marcil, which is hosted by Coastal Entertainment. “I am really excited about it,” he exclaimed. “It’s the second one I’ve done with them. I did one a while ago. My mom and I have done a few things like this together.”

“We like to do it to help support local animal charities, and try to promote awareness of local rescue-related charities,” he said.

“We always try to tell people to go local and look for groups in their areas where they can help at local shelters nearby, or foster animals, or find other ways to help out,” he explained.

Future plans

On his future plans, he shared, “I have a lot of projects that I am really excited about that I am looking forward to talk about when I am able to.”

“Right now, I am excited to be a part of the web series ‘Class Acts,’ which was created by actor, comedian, and content creator Brandon Rogers. I’ve had a lot of respect for him for a long time,” he elaborated.

“Brandon brings a unique and powerful connection with his comedy to people. His work is really exciting, and I suggest for people to check it out,” he added.

Stage of his life

On the title of the current chapter of his life, he revealed, “Real Beginnings.”

Superpower of choice

If he were to have any superpower, it would be “teleportation.” “That would allow me to see so many different places,” he admitted.

Success

On his definition of the word success, he said, “Being happy with your life every day, and feeling as if you are satisfied. Having life be calm and happy is everyone’s goal at the end of the day.”

Message for his fans and supporters

For his fans and supporters, he said, “Thank you for taking the time to getting to know me as my own artist, and not just my parent’s child. I am so immensely proud to be my mom’s son and my father’s son.”

“It has been such a journey for me building my own identity apart from them as an artist and as a public figure. Thanks for getting to know me,” he concluded.
