Remember that holiday party? Everyone had a wonderful time. There were tons of photos and videos taken and sent to one another. Where are all these photos now? The harsh truth is they’re all buried in the digital clutter of your phone gallery, in multiple WhatsApp chats, along with memes, screenshots and plain text messages. Or maybe it was iMessage or maybe Telegram? Who knows? It’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
Being able to capture our most precious moments with ease has been one of the best technological advancements of this century for many; even better is being able to share them. But, as with anything, there is a downside; with a plethora of images and videos flooding our smartphones, a sort of digital chaos or clutter threatens to bury our most cherished memories.
According to Photutorial data, 1.81 trillion photos are taken worldwide every year, which equals 57,000 per second. And guess what? That’s 50% more than just two years ago.
Fortunately, serial entrepreneur and seasoned tech innovator Oleg Golynker has created Trueli to solve this modern dilemma. With Trueli, sharing photos enters a new realm, bringing memories to life by seamlessly organizing, sharing and exchanging our digital moments. “We’re on a mission to set people free from the overwhelming digital clutter in their phone galleries, ensuring they never miss the magic of their moments and enabling them to share with loved ones securely.”
Back in the 2010s WhatsApp reimagined how cross-platform and cost effective daily communication work. Similarly Trueli is reimagining how the sharing of memories works in the overwhelming world of digital clutter in the 2020s.
Drawing from neuroscience, Oleg emphasizes the importance of social context in encoding lasting memories in our brain. “Because we’re social creatures, most of our memories are either shared with other people or simply lost.”
Trueli, using state of the art AI/ML based technology, creates lasting memories by putting them in real-life social contexts and by making the user experience both fun and frictionless. “We call it ‘Memory Mesh’, which is photo sharing on steroids and upgraded to frictionless memory exchange.”
Now, at that holiday party where everyone had a wonderful time, people won’t need to request photos or curate what to share manually. The Trueli app enables users to live authentically, capturing moments naturally, while granting them full privacy.
Trueli is not building yet another hype tool that will die as soon as the next hype is born. “We’re building a sustainable business for the long term, largely by monetizing B2B partnerships that will allow us to monetize our product as we grow instead of raising hundreds of millions before even trying to make it sustainable”.
When asked, “Why Trueli?” Oleg smiled and said, “Who else? Big tech companies such as Google and Apple are too busy fighting with each other and hence repeatedly failing to create cross-platform products for the benefit of all users across the boundaries of their own ecosystems.”
Oleg adds, “Most of the young startups who are trying to disrupt the incumbents are simply not allowed to solve huge world-scale problems because that’s the way the tech industry works. Pre-seed stage startups just struggle to raise money from early stage investors unless they focus on a small low hanging fruit that is relatively easy to grab.”
Trueli is definitely well-equipped to grab the biggest and the highest fruit. Also luckily, they didn’t have to search for a visionary pre-seed investor. Before founding Trueli, Oleg was a founding CTO of Global-e (Nasdaq:GLBE) which had one of the greatest IPOs in 2021. On the back of this previous success, Oleg is funding Trueli as a pre-seed investor himself and is driving it at full power. “I believe we’re an excellent investment vehicle for new investors too, and I’m happy to invite them to join me on this journey.” Global-e and Trueli are just a couple of his many entrepreneurial achievements throughout his successful career that started in the 90s.
Oleg adds, “Trueli is a family of world class consumer products and technology experts, and we envision a world where everyone’s life story is curated and stored in a rich and immersive way that allows them to relive their most meaningful memories by themselves or with people they make memories with. We’re also fully committed to respect our users’ privacy and reject the practices of exploiting user data. We see user trust as our main business asset.”
Trueli is at the forefront of innovation by offering a solution that transcends the limitations of existing photo-sharing platforms. By prioritizing user trust, privacy, and seamless experiences, Trueli envisions a future where memory sharing is effortless. As the platform evolves, users can anticipate even more groundbreaking features that set Trueli apart and make digital memory preservation easy.
